Tinday Gosht / Round Melon Mutton Curry

Ingredients:

Mutton – 1kg (boiled)

Cooking Oil – 2 tbsp

Round Melon – 10 to 12

Tomatoes – 2 (sliced)

Onion – 1

Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (chopped)

Garlic – 1 tbsp (chopped)

Ginger – 2 tbsp (chopped)

Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp

Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp

Dundicut Peppers – 4 to 5

Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp

Mutton Stock – 1 cup

Salt (as required)

Method:

Take 10 to 12 round melons/apple gourd. Peel them. Cut them into cubes.

Boil 1 kg of mutton.

Then, take a deep cooking saucepan and add 2 tbsp of cooking oil.

Add 1 medium size onion (sliced).

Add 2 medium size tomatoes (sliced).

Add 1 tbsp of ginger and garlic (chopped).

Add 1 tsp of red chili powder.

Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

Add 4 to 5 dundicut peppers.

Add 1 tsp of cumin seeds.

Mix the spices well.

Add mutton.

Add 1 more tbsp of ginger and coriander leaves (chopped).

Then, add the melon/gourd.

Add 1 cup of mutton stock.

Add salt as required.

Stir it well.

Cover the saucepan lid.

Cook it for 15 minutes in a low heat flame.

YOUR TINDAY GOSHT IS READY! 😀

Serve it with roti/naan.

Serves 3-4 persons.

Preparation time – 40 minutes.
