Take 1/2 cup of black lentils.
Wash it thoroughly with water.
Once lentils are washed, take a pressure cooker, fill it with 3 cups of water and then add black lentils.
Add salt as required.
Add 1 tsp of red chili powder.
Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
Cook it for 15 minutes.
Once black lentils are cooked, take a frying pan and add 2 tbsp of oil in a medium heat flame.
Add 2 cloves of garlic (chopped).
Once the garlic is golden in color, add it on top of the cooked black lentils.
Your KAALI DAL is ready.
Serves 4-5 persons.
Preparation time – 25 minutes.
You can serve it with roti or naan.
