Chicken Biryani

Method:

Take a deep cooking saucepan and boil 2 and a half cups of rice in a medium heat flame for 15 minutes.

Strain out all the water and then keep the saucepan aside.

Add 2 tbsp of oil and 3 medium size onions in another deep cooking saucepan.

Add 1/2 cup of yogurt.

Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of red chili powder, 4 to 5 cloves, 6 to 7 bay leaves and add salt as required.

Add 1/2 tsp of dried pomegranate seeds, 3 to 4 nutmegs, 4 to 5 cinnamon sticks.

Add 2 medium size tomatoes(chopped), press the tomatoes, and keep on stirring until it mixes with the spices well.

Add 1 kg of chicken and cook it for 15 minutes in a medium heat flame. And once the chicken is cooked, then turn off the flame and keep the curry aside.

Take half of the rice out of the deep cooking saucepan, so that you can add chicken curry.

Add the chicken curry.

Then, set rest of the rice on top of the chicken curry.

Take a bowl and add 3 tbsp of milk, 1/2 tsp of yellow food color, 1 tsp of oil and mix them well.

Spread the mixture.

Add 2 green chillies(chopped) on top of the rice.

Cover the lid and cook it for 15 minutes in a low heat flame and place tava below the saucepan.

Garnish it with cucumbers.
