Take a deep cooking saucepan, add 1/4th cup of oil and after heating the oil for 2mins, add 2 tbsp of ginger and 4 cloves of garlic chopped.
Add 1 green chili chopped.
Add 5 medium size tomatoes.
Mash the tomatoes for 5 minutes.
Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp of red chili powder, 1 tsp of cumin powder and add salt as required.
Add 1/2 tsp of dried fenugreek leaves.
Mix all the ingredients well in medium heat.
Add 1 kg of chicken.
Stir the chicken well into the spicy tomato puree.
Add 1/2 cup of water.
Cover the lid for 20 minutes in a low heat flame.
Garnish it with coriander leaves and sliced ginger.
